Last week, I attended an intensive freelance writing course on
a fully paid scholarship by the Center for
African Cultural Excellence. I am an aspiring writer, freelance writer
and novelist and this course means to me what the last supper meant to the twelve
biblical disciples or what Hiroshima and Nagasaki means to the Japanese—A turning
point.
Among my many world-class trainers, I had the opportunity of
meeting a well-travelled man, a travel writer and photography enthusiast moulded
into one. Currently a General Manager at Premier
Safaris, an East African safari company based in Uganda,
specializing in safaris throughout the entire region, Corne took time off his
busy schedule to share of his vast experience.
He showed us the power of social media in creating your
brand using avenues like twitter, facebook, linkedin, pinterest, google+, blogs. He emphasised the importance of creating your
niche.
I would like to share some of his pictures and websites on
this blog. Corne has a deep relationship with animals and this is evident in
his photographs.
To know more about his job or to see some of his beautiful
photographs of beautiful African animals, find it HERE
and HERE. If you would like to go on holiday, I
recommend you to go HERE and you won’t be disappointed.
Explore Africa.
It was great spending time with some of Uganda’s new generation of social media commenters, writers and aspiring novelist. Thanks to the Center for African Cultural Excellence
